Public Facilities District
The Lynnwood PFD was established under the authority of the Laws of the State of Washington, Chapter 165, Laws of 1999, pursuant to Ordinance 2266 of the City Council of the City of Lynnwood, passed August 24, 1999. Under RCW 35.57, the City has authority to form a public facilities district for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, maintaining and financing a regional center, which may be a convention center.
Mission Statement
The Lynnwood Public Facilities District shall serve as an economic catalyst for the community through the development of public facilities. The Public Facilities District shall be a cornerstone for the City of Lynnwood's revitalization through its development efforts and the professional operation of its facilities.
The Public Facilities District shall provide leadership and vision in all of its activities for the citizens of Lynnwood and South Snohomish County, so as to provide a valuable addition to the economic vitality of the region and a sense of pride for the community.
PFD meetings
Meetings of the Lynnwood PFD are held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6pm at the District offices located at 3815 196th St. SW, Ste. 136 in Lynnwood. If a meeting is to be cancelled, a cancellation notice will be posted at the District offices 24 hours in advance.
